Congratulations Princesses!
A big congratulations to Princess David and Princess Libby for making it through to the state finals of the SMH Plain English Speaking Competition. David's fascist rant proved to be most entertaining.
Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the afternoon session and missed Libby's speech. =( Sorry I missed your speech. I promise I won't miss it in the finals!

It's okay, you didn't miss a lot. My impromptu was shit. Things will be good next round, I promise. Don't think I'll win but it'll be okay. Hope they don't put me next to the Alice girl... fuck she was good.

If you do get put next to her, hope for the 'halo effect'. It doesn't matter if you win or not, we all love you!

*smiles* Maybe I can have a Sefton cheer team as well as a hurlstone cheer team. That would be good. It's the battle of the princesses now. It's a shame we're actually friends so it won't get nasty at all. Oh well.
The halo effect isn't going to happen and you know that. Maybe I'll try and provide a contrast. Yes, as different as humanly possible and just appear a more likeable character.
But in all seriousness, I think David's prepared is the best in that competition. It doesn't really have a point but I think the SMH likes that.

For some reason, the best speeches thrive on not having a point. Shall I hire a bus for the cheer squad?
By Yuki, at June 26, 2005 10:32 PM
Isn't your school doing that already? (But for david.) HAHS is taking a busload of supporters, as in 50. That number might increase marginally depending on how many of my friends I invite along.

I just wanted an excuse to run over a few pedestrians with a large vehicle.

You don't have your driver's licence and don't intend on getting one for sometime...

Does it really matter?

Congratulations Libby. You rock my socks. I've already told David how wonderful and awful he can be at the same time. I think he appreciated that comment. Anyways why wasn't I invited to watch? I promise I won't whistle or do the Xena Warrior Princess noise.

I have no idea what Xena noise you're talking about. You'll have to give me a demonstration.

Not a problem, I only had to go through most of the folder to find something with a name on it. =P

David's good with the speeches, but not quite as good as Hitler. He'll have to keep working some to get that far. Heh.
