I think that chicken has a rather bland taste and so any seasoning seems to suit it. When we say "it tastes like chicken" I think we're referring to the texture. That, or we may have tried chicken with the same seasoning and so it reminds us of chicken, and there you have it: everything tastes like chicken. Did I make sense?
That all made perfect sense. ut if it's the texture that makes things taste like chicken, why is it that I've had kiwi flavoured powerade described to me as tasting "like chicken"?
