[RE:] Tomorrow

Just a reminder that tomorrow is February 14.
As always, we'll be the only two without roses
and without this notion of 'love'.
I opened my heart to you last year
and you left me standing at the door.
But i don't blame you;
I did the same to you
Two V-Days ago.

I won't give you another rose;
I just want us to be lonely
together.

A.

  • I love where you chose to put the lower case "i". I don't know if that was intentional but god, it was good.

  • ammendments:
    last stanza of letter is now:
    "i've no more roses,
    only a longing to be alone
    together"

  • the lower case 'i' was completely intentional. It's a typo that creates the effect that it is a real email (that was such a bad lie, not evn i believe it)

  • actually, I was thinking that the i was for how unimportant you seemed in that moment... but whatever.

  • Alan needs to say something witty about Anzac Day. I need social commentary. UPDATE, bitch.

  • Something witty about ANZAC Day? It's just about the only public holiday i don't have a massive gripe about.

  • Wit does not imply bagging out. Eg irony value in how honouring our fallen usually entials romance about war which means more people have dreamy ideas about the military etc. I like Anzac day too but social commentary doesn't man "hate anzacs".

  • Social commentary for me generally entails cynicism. I think the ANZACs deserve better than that.
